Antarctic Dream Cabins
The “Antarctic Dream” is equipped with 42 double cabins with capacity for 84 passengers. All our cabins are fully equipped. All of them have a private bathroom, beautiful bronze port-holes or windows and lower twin or queen size beds.

The "Antarctic Dream”, was built by Dutch shipyards for the Chilean Navy as an Antarctic passenger ship. It was completely remodeled in 2003 for elegant and comfortable exploration of the Southern Oceans in any weather conditions. There is a dining hall with a panoramic view, a dining recess, bar, lounge, library, cinema, sauna and gym service, and a tourist travel office.

Uniquely among all the ships that take tours to the Antarctic, the “Antarctic Dream” carries a turbine helicopter on every expedition. The helicopter is used not only for safety but also to make special expeditions to see places inaccessible by other means. We also carry zodiacs (rubber boats) to explore the accessible shores.
The ship is built and decorated along traditional lines to give you a sense of history combined with tremendous comfort

The Antartic Dream Expedition Cruise
15 Days / 14 Nights--------
This is the ideal program for a trip to the Great White Continent. Departing from and arriving to Punta Arenas it includes the most spectacular attractions of the Patagonia, Cape Horn, the Southern Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. The expedition is geared towards observing wildlife as well as a few visits to scientific bases in Antarctica. All this, not to mention an impressive landscape formed by channels, glaciers, icebergs, and rugged mountains. The following itinerary explains the 15-day journey in more detail. No two Antarctic excursions are alike, thus, the descriptions are merely references. The captain and leader of the expedition will evaluate the area's conditions on a daily basis, taking advantage of every opportunity to disembark and ride in the Zodiac boats: the long days of the southern summers increase the possibilities of spending most of our time on land. The helicopter will always be available during the excursions: The program includes two flights per passenger and for at least one of them we will attempt to fly over Cape Horn, the southernmost point of Chile and of the American continent.
The Program includes: ......................................................................................
  • 1 night of stay in a Hotel in Punta Arenas.
  • Accommodations in the cabin of your choice.
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner and aperitif on the menu.
  • Wine and cocktails.

Itinerary: ...............................................................................................................

Day 1: Punta Arenas, Chile
Arrival to Punta Arenas, reception at a specific site and transportation to the hotel of your choice. The rest of the day is free to tour the city.

Day 2 to 3: Punta Arenas - Southern Patagonia
Transportation to the Punta Arenas port and embarkation aboard the 'Antarctic Dream'. Once on board you will be welcomed by the crew and taken to your previously assigned cabin. The ship sets sail at 12:00pm. The ship will pass by glaciers and take us through fjords in the Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost populated area in the world.

Day 4 to 6: Cape Horn, Drake Passage and Southern Shetland Islands
From the deck of the ship we will be able to see the splendid landscapes of the Beagle Channel as we head towards Cape Horn and the Drake Passage. We will continue sailing towards the Southern Shetland Islands and later head for Isla Decepción (Deception Island). Time permitting, we will visit the Arturo Prat Chilean Naval Base on Greenwich Island, an opportunity that we can learn more about this base's scientific studies. We will arrive at the Southern Shetland Islands by the evening of day 5, depending on the weather.

Day 7 to 10: Antarctic Peninsula
Snow, mountains, and an impressive array of wildlife await you in this largely historic area. Weather and ice conditions permitting and on certain trips, we will be able to disembark on Paulet Island, formed by a volcano crater where thousands of penguins nest. Our journey continues on to the Antarctic Strait towards the Covadonga Bay, where we can also visit the Bernardo O'Higgins Chilean Scientific Research Base and later head to the Gerlache Strait. Next, a visit to the Cuverville and Rongé Islands. On some expeditions we will sail south through the Lemaire Channel until we arrive to Petermann Island, where the Adelie and Gentoo penguins, along with other birds, nest close to the site of disembarkation.

Day 11 to 12: Drake Passage
We will say goodbye to the Antarctic Peninsula and sail north through the Drake Passage. This will give us time to relax, review our journals, remember the week's adventures and enjoy some planned chats given by the expedition guides as the 'Antarctic Dream' sails back towards the Patagonia territory.

Day 13 to 14: Southern Patagonia
We will cross the Beagle Channel on a path towards the fjords and glaciers of the Southern Patagonia, entering the western side of the Magellan Strait en route to Punta Arenas.

Day 15: Punta Arenas, Chile
Disembark at the port after breakfast. A farewell from the crew and the end of the expedition. Transportation to a given location.
