Skorpios III is our top of the line and newest ship. Comfortable and spacious cabins, private baths and some of the best in on board cuisine. Passengers will receive the best in personal . This new 7 day Cruise the KAWESKAR EXPLORERS ROUTE offer an unforgettable cruise through the channels and fjords of southern Chile, visiting the majestic San Rafael Glacier, all with the warm and personal service provided by a professional crew and staff. 

New for this year are optional visits to Torres del Paine park. This new route is designed to provide you wiht the best and most comfortable way to explore the Chilean Patagonia.

Skorpios III is the newest and most luxurious member of the fleet. It was built in 1995 and features the most advanced design of international naval engineering. Five decks feature single and double cabins with luxury bathrooms, music stations and stereo-TV.

SKORPIOS III-KAWEKSKAR EXPLORER'S ROUTE
6days/ 5nights
      Day 1:Saturday (for those passengers not taking the additional night) Reception at Punta Arenas airport. Transfer to Skorpios. Check - In. In the afternoon, passengers are transferred by bus from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales arriving at the Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales at approximately 19:00 hrs. Embarking at 20:00 hrs. welcome cocktail, dinner aboard. 

      Day 2 Sunday 04:00: Set sail from Puerto Natales, navigation through the Patagonian canals to the Kirke Narrows. In the early morning navigation through the Morla Vicuña, Unión Inlet and Collingwood Canals. In the mid-morning continue on through the Sarmiento canal. In the afternoon sail through the Pitt and Concepcion Canals. Arrival at Eyre Inlet.

      Day 3 Monday 08:30 hrs. Navigation of the Eyre Inlet, to Pío XI Glacier, sailing in front of the Glacier. This is the largest Glacier in South America, with a surface area of 1,263 Km2, belonging to the Bernardo O'higgins National Park, which is considered to be the biggest National Park in Chile. At mid-day we set sail, navigating towards the Eyre Inlet, the Grappler Canal and Paso del Indio. Arrive at Puerto Eden approximately at 17.00 hrs. Debarking in motorboats. Free time to visit this village which is located in Wellington Isle, whose first inhabitants were the Kaweskar and Alacalufes natives This village does not have any streets, only walkways along which visitors one can walk to visit its houses, or climb up to the lookout. The Motorvessel Skorpios III is anchored. 

      Day 4 Tuesday 07:00 hrs: Sail to Puerto Eden. Navigation through Paso del Abismo and Wide Canal. In the afternoon arrival to Amalia Glacier, located in the center of the Southern Ice Field. The MV/Skorpios III sails close to the face of the Glacier. 

      Day 5 Wednesday 07.00 hrs: Leave the Villarrica Cove. Navigation towards the Calvo Fjord. In the mid-morning entrance to the Calvo inlet and visit the Calvo inlet Glaciers. In the afternoon we set sail again in route to Puerto Natales. 20:00: Farewell party, gala dinner. . Day 6 Thursday In the early morning we cross the Kirke Narrows. Arriving at Skorpios terminal in Puerto Natales approximately at 10:30 hrs. Passengers disembark at 11:00 hrs. Transfer to t Punta Arenas Airport.

      Note: Itinerary subject to changes according to navigation and climate conditions. 

      Services included in the price of the cruise: 

      Transfer by private bus from the airport of Punta Arenas to Skorpios terminal in Puerto Natales and return on embarkation and disembarkation days. Four meals daily on board (Breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner) Open bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) Land and boat excursions as per itinerary.

      ADDITIONAL NIGHT

      Passengers taking additional night, will have included a complimentary tour on Saturday, before the cruise begins, to the Torres del Paine National Park.

      Day Friday (additional night) Reception at Punta Arenas airport, transfer to Skorpios offices. Check-in. 17.00 hrs Transfer by bus from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales. 20.00 hrs Arrival in Puerto Natales. 20.15 hrs Passengers embarkation. Welcome cocktail and dinner on board. 

      Day Saturday (for those passengers taking the additional night) Excursion to Torres del Paine National Park and visit the natural monument: Milodon Cave.

      09.00hrs Departure by buses to Skorpios terminal in Puerto Natales. Arrival al Milodon Cave, one hour visit. Tour continues to the Torres del Paine National Park. Arrival at Rio Paine waterfalls, view of the Torres del Paine. Pic-nic lunch at Amarga Lagoon area. 14.00hrs Enter National Park. Arrival at the Nordenskjold viewpoint views of the Cuernos del Paine and continue on to Pehoe lake viewpoint. Return to Puerto Natales visiting Lake Sarmiento, arriving at Skorpios terminal at 17.00hrs approximately. 20.00 hrs dinner on board Skorpios. Optional transfer to the Casino in Puerto Natales. 

      Additional night:USD $180

      Above-mentioned prices includes: Transfers from the airport in Punta Arenas to Skorpios terminal in Puerto Natales on Friday. Dinner and overnight on board MV Skorpios III the night before the departure of the cruise. Full day tour to National Park Torres del Paine, including picnic lunch.

      For passengers taking the additional night and arriving to Punta Arenas in the morning flight on Friday, we offer as well following optional: 

      Typical Patagonia Barbecue at Fitz Roy farm, including visit to its museum and sheep shearing show.
